Post Bylaws

The following bylaws provide a framework for the operation of this American Legion Post.

Article I: Name

The name of this organization shall be [Post Name], American Legion.

Article II: Purpose

To uphold the principles and policies of the American Legion, support veterans, promote patriotism, and serve the community.

Article III: Membership

  • Membership is open to all eligible veterans as defined by the national organization.

  • Membership applications are reviewed and approved according to Post guidelines.

Article IV: Officers

The Post shall elect officers annually. Positions include Commander, Vice Commander, Adjutant, Finance Officer, and others as needed.

Article V: Meetings

Regular meetings will be scheduled monthly. A quorum, as defined in the Post's operating procedures, is required for official business.

Amendments

These bylaws may be amended by a majority vote during a regular meeting, with proper notice given to members.
